W.I.P. Marching Forward

My current work in progress is slow in progress. It’s not an easy write by any stretch. It’s emotional, it’s touchy, and not something I want to stare in its face every day. It is something I need to get out, something that needs talking about, and I can’t walk away from it.

My other work has been easier to write. It’s been nothing short of fun and a respite from an ugly world. Just curious how other writers deal with composing something that comes slow due to it being a hard to deal with emotional issues of the story. Do others struggle with sitting down and writing? Or is it like a bandage that just needs ripped off?
