Last month I started another novel right before going back to building cars no one wants. I am in 36K words and building. It has consumed most of my conscious free time, no time or consideration for any other things I was working on. I neglected the blog as well.
For the time, this story has me obsessed—tons of research and plotting and outlining. I feel as I cross the milestone of millions of words written my work is maturing. I’m hoping to get this out in the world soon.
Expect to see a lot of research dumps here. Railroads, Civil War, Race Relations in the 1890s, Amish Culture, and so much more. It’s a weird and wonderful world, and our history is more unexpected than we conceive. And it has shaped my story in ways I didn’t see coming.
